Sterling Contracting has been working with the Buffalo District Corps of Engineers for the past five years in an annual beach replenishment project. Beginning each April sand is brought in from outside sources and is then distributed across the Presque Isle Shore. These beach reclamation efforts ensure native wildlife with a secure habitat for the future as well as a relaxing recreation area for those who visit the park.
