Market at Fifth

Sterling Contracting was contracted by Pittsburgh History & Landmarks Foundation to reconfigure the interior spaces to function as one building, featuring seven upper floor apartments and a first floor commercial space. The dilapidated spaces were transformed into their originally intended charm and elegance dating back to the late 1800’s.

A LEED rating of Silver was achieved for this project by cleaning and reusing existing brick, using construction materials with recycled content and green roofing to reduce heat absorption and reduce water run off.

Sterling Contracting, LLC is happy to have an active role in the revitalization of historically significant structures in the Pittsburgh Region.
